To commemorate the 40th
anniversary of the Marine Offences Act, which closed down most of the UK
offshore radio stations,
local radio station BBC Essex broadcast a week of special programmes from the
9th to 14th August 2007.
Offshore Echo's visited Harwich, where many of the original 1960's deejays had
joined
the Pirate BBC Essex broadcasts from the lightship LV18
