RINGO'S DOG - Jack Dorsey Big Band  Pye 7N 15730 (UK.1964) / Parkway 935 (Australia 1964)  It has often been thought that the sound of Tony Blackburn's famous dog Arnold barking originated from an obscure sound effects LP or perhaps from PAMS mythical series K9 jingle package.  According to André de Raaij, it was edited out from this record and mixed into Tony's theme tune. On this record Ringo's dog barks three times, whereas Arnold only barks twice.

THE SAINT - The Shake Spears Ronnex R1366 (B.undated) and track on LP Summertime. EMI Sounds Superb 4MO34 62069 (B.c1975).   Used by Radio Atlantis's Mister Galaxy, and as a promotion. Also used on Radio Mi Amigo for Free Radio roadshow promotion. The B side of the single - Lucifer, was the theme of Atlantis's "Muziek voor Eva"

THE SAVERS - Perry and Kingsley Track on album The Essential Perrey & Kingsley Vanguard (1975) CD VCD7172S  was used for a jingles on the international service of Radio Atlantis.

SCOTCH ON THE ROCKS - Force Ten Decca F13319 (1972). A classic offshore talkover theme remembered for its many uses, one of them being the first record used by Tony Allan when he opened the ill-fated RNI2 on 192 metres.

SCRUB BOARD - The Trammps  Buddah BDS 415 (1975) Buddah 610095 (F.). The instrumental B side of "Sixty Minute Man". Later in the year Trammps added words to the track, having a no. 5 hit with "Hold back the night" on Buddah BDS 437 in October 1975, "Scrub board" was the B side to this release. It is also available on the Belgian Buddah singles BDA 321 and BE 114 3070, erroneously titled "Scruboard". Probably better known as Peter van Dam's theme on Radio Mi Amigo, "Scrub board" was used as a backing for a song by the Mi Amigo deejays, with the famous words "Caroline and Mi Amigo, we are sitting on the North Sea, two radio stations for you specially.....". Later used on Laser 558 for a Laser Chart action promo. The track can also be found on the re-issue LP "The Legendary Zing album", Kent 088 (1988).

SOUTH AMERICAN GETAWAY - Burt Bacharach From the soundtrack LP Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. A & M original details not known (1969) A & M Hamlet AMLP8002 (70's re-issue). Used by RNI for various promos. In 1970 Mark Wesley created a version of this track, better known as RNI's Boom tune by singing "R.. N.. I" in the brief gaps between the music. Some six years later the idea was revived by the Dutch staff of the Mi Amigo and versions with "Mi Amigo" and "Baken 16" were created.

SWEET CAROLINE - Neil Diamond MCA MU198 (1969), UNI 55136 (USA.July 1969),  UNI UNS 531 (Feb.72) MCA106 (Aug.74) Old Gold OG9324 (Apr.83) CBS 651 2017 (Nov.87) Re-released on single and on numerous albums, the UNI 1972 version charted at no. 8 in the UK. Occasionally used as a tribute to Caroline. Originally released in the USA on , charting at no.4. Neil Diamond recently revealed the inspiration for the song - President John F Kennedy's daughter, also of course the inspiration for the name of the famous offshore radio station. The singer finally got the opportunity to tell Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, when he performed the song via satellite at her 50th birthday party. "I've never discussed it with anybody before - intentionally," said Diamond. "I thought maybe I would tell it to Caroline when I met her some day" and explained how he'd been a "young, broke songwriter" when he saw a photo of the president's daughter in a magazine. "It was a little girl dressed to the nines in her riding gear, next to her pony," he recalled. "It was such an innocent, wonderful picture, I immediately felt there was a song in there." Years later, holed up in a hotel in Memphis, he wrote the words and music in less an hour. Mrs Kennedy Schlossberg had been delighted by the news, Diamond added "It was a No 1 record and probably is the biggest, most important song of my career,"
