IN MY LIFE - The Beatles Track on LP Rubber Soul Parlophone PCS3075 (1965) The stereo version of this track has most of the vocal mix on the left hand track. Radio Atlantis made use of the almost instrumental right hand track to produce some promotions and jingles, including 312 "Lovers and friends".

IN THE BEGINNING - Moody Blues Track on album On the Threshold of a Dream Deram SML1035 (UK 1969). Mike Hagler used instrumental part from this track for Loving Awareness Spots on Caroline,in the jingle "In the beginning there was darkness ... I think, I think I am, therefore I am ... There you go man, keep as cool as you can."

IT DON'T MATTER TO ME - Phil Collins Track on LP Hello I must be going Virgin V2252 (1982). Catchy introduction gave the backing for the Happy Tobacco adverts aired on Radio Monique through 1986 at the top of the hour, also used by BBC TV's Grandstand sports programme.

JESSICA - Allman Brothers Band Track on LP Brothers and Sisters Capricorn Records 2429-102 (1973). This is the long 7.02 minute version, can anyone provide details of the shorter single version?. Used by the offshore stations for various promotions and as a filler, this popular instrumental track is often used on radio nowadays for the same reasons.

A KIND OF LOVE IN - Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and the Trinity Marmalade 598006 (April 1968). The B side of the hit This Wheel's on Fire used by RNI for various promo's. Both sides of the record were produced by Giorgio Gomelsky, the unofficial first manager of the Rolling Stones in the early 1960's. He was a student of Stanislavsky's Method acting, along with a young Irishman named Ronan O'Rahilly. The track was also used for a Veronica 192 news jingle.

KINGS OF CLUBS - Chocolats Omega International OM36409H (NL.1977) As well as the single version, a much longer version is on an LP. Used as a promo for King's Club in Playa de Aro on Radio Mi Amigo

KING OF THE ROAD - Roger Miller Philips BF1397 (1965) Was used as a backing for a song by Chris Cross for record requests, ending with the words "Tune into Radio City on 3-0-0"

THE LADY IN RED - Chris de Burgh A & M AM331 (UK.1986) This number one chart hit was adopted by Radio Caroline - often known as "the Lady", as an unofficial theme and promotion. Caroline's ship Ross Revenge was painted red. 

LAND OF A 1000 DANCES - Wilson Pickett Atlantic 584039 (1966) Radio 270 used the "1,2,3" start of this track for a  jingle "1,2,3, Radio a go go, Radio 270".

LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY - Unknown Used as a backing for the "Toad" campaign on both RNI and Caroline in 1973. (release details and audio required)

LASER LOVE - After the Fire CBS 7769 (UK.1979). Pressed in orange vinyl, the black and white sleeve has openings through which the orange can be seen. Also track on LP Laser Love, CBS 83795 (NL.1979). Used as a promotion by Laser 558, the song repeats the words "Laser... Laser".

LAST NIGHT - Georgie Fame Track on LP Sweet Thing Columbia SX6043 (1966) Used as a talk-over track by Ross Randall on Radio 270.

THE LAST TIME - Rolling  Stones Decca F12104 (1965) An instrumental part of this track was used as a backing for an RNI commercial in March 1971. Listeners were informed (by Alan West) that they could get a copy of the Super Hit 50 from their local record shop. Was later used on Radio Mi Amigo in March 1977 as a promo' for the Personal Top 30 of Bart van Leeuwen

LATE AT NIGHT - Maywood EMI 1A00626508 (NL.1980) Logo GO390 (UK.1980) Maywood recorded a special version of this song, with the intro' Caroline Late at Night.

LAYLA - Derek and the Dominos Polydor 2058130. Another popular and easily recognised track, like Jessica and much used for promo's, and as a filler over the years.

LINGERING LOVERS - Ron Goodwin Orchestra Capitol 3834 (1957) was combined with SAINT LOUIS BLUES - The Timebeats Track on EP Magical Moments Populaire Platenkring HPK728 (NL.date unknown) by Ferry Eden on Mi Amigo in 1978 for the closing theme of the "Gouden van Dagen" show.

LOVING AWARENESS Clip of track VOICE OF LOVE More Love records ML001 Stereo (NL.1976) The concept of Loving Awareness originated on Radio Caroline around 1974, two years later the concept became a musical reality with the release of this LP in its white gatefold sleeve emulating the Beatles White album. The Loving Awareness band were initially promoted as "The Beatles", the group later went on to become the Blockheads backing Ian Drury. The gatefold album featured a colour photo of the group and friends in a school classroom on the inside and was complete with two colour posters about Loving Awareness. Re-issued on compact disc in 1992; Ross Records SMC 920701 (NL.1992), second pressing SMC Records SMC920701 (NL.1992).
