DAN MOET JE MIJN ZUSTER ZIEN - Ria Valk Decca 10268AT (NL.1967) For a 1976 commercial for Mi Amigo Jeans, Stan Haag sang a re-worked version of this song, which became "Dan moet je die vogel zien" (Than you've to see this bird)

DANSEN MET DE FRANSEN - Joop Stokerman Orkest A filler used on RNI's Driemaster show. On New years eve 1971, Robb Eden, on RNI played a jingle that used this track as a backing "Celebrating the arrival of 1992 with Radio Northsea International". (release details required)

DAY BY DAY - Holly Sherwood Bell 1182 (1971) From the musical Godspell, this was a chart entry in 1972. The track was re-written and sung by Andy Archer and the staff of Caroline on it's return from the Mi Amigo.

THE DAYS OF PEARLY SPENCER - David McWilliams Major Minor MM533 (UK.1967) Heavily plugged by Radio Caroline in late 1967, as the record company owned by Philip Soloman was also a major stakeholder in Caroline.

A DAY WITHOUT LOVE - The Love Affair CBS 3674 (1968) Deejays on Radio Mi Amigo captured the instrumental part of this record to record their own jingle in the late Seventies. Brilliantly engineered, it always preceeded "Nieuws van de Mi Amigo Drive In show" and the news, every other hour.

DEATH AT THE WHITE HOUSE - John Barry Orchestra Used by RNI for Hou em in de Lucht campaign promo's (release details required)

DESIDERATA - Tom Clay The instrumental B side was used on the Voice of Peace for an Abie Nathan talkover "Be on good terms with other people" promo'. (release details and audio required)

DOWN DOWN - Status Quo Vertigo 6059114 (1974) Used as backing to Caroline Roadshow promo' in 1978.

DO YOU LOVE ME - Sharif Dean CBS 8435 (NL.1972) Part of this Dutch number 1 hit was used by RNI for a Ted Bouwens jingle.

DR. BEAT - Miami Sound Machine Epic A4614 (UK.1984) The ambulance siren and "emergency paging Dr. Beat" from the intro' of this record were used by Laser 558's Charlie Wolf, in a promo'.

DRAGNET - Frank Chacksfield and Orchestra Track on "All Time Top TV Themes" Decca Phase 4 PFS 4087 (1966), also track on "TV's Golden Hits" Compleat Records 671020 (USA.undated). Dragnet was also a hit for Ray Anthony Orchestra in 1963, the Chacksfield version was used by Veronica for various promotions.

DRIVE MY CAR - The Beatles Track on Rubber Soul Parlophone PMC7009 (1965) Used in a Caroline 819 jingle and an LA spot

DRIVE MY CAR - Hollyridge Strings Track on LP The Beatles Songbook Volume 4 Capitol (S)T-2656 (US.1960's) Tony Allan used this track as a backing to sing an RNI jingle.

ELIZABETHAN SERENADE - Ron Goodwin Orchestra Parlophone R4272 (1957) Used by Radio 355 for backing promotions and requests in July 1967.

ELISABETH SERENADE - Gunther Kallman Choir Polydor NH23678 (1963) Used for a promo spot for the David MacKaye show on Radio 355 for backing promotions and requests

EL PASO - John de Mol The first three notes of this song were used by Hans ten Hoge for an RNI jingle. John de Mol was the programme director of Radio Noordzee, and had strictly forbidden the deejays to play his song on the radio. (release details required)

EQUINOX - Jean Michel Jarre Track on LP Polydor 2310636 (1978) Used by Johan Rood on Radio Delmare, as a filler in September 1979. Equinox is in a number of parts on the LP, some of which were released as singles. What part was used on Delmare?

EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE ALRIGHT - Willie Mitchell London HLU10004 (1965) Was used for a Johnnie Walker promo on Caroline South.

EVIL MIDNIGHT (DANCE MACABRE) - Apollo 100 Track on LP Joy Mega M311010 (US.1972) Used by Veronica for top 5 spot in Kolder op Zolder show.

EXERCISE IN A MINOR - Apollo 100 The B side of Joy Mega 0050 (US.1971), and also track on LP as above. Used on RNI as a theme for Jan van der Meer, and also as a filler track.

FALLING IN AND OUT OF LOVE - Johnny Nash MAMR9 (1971). The record had an unusual but memorable three beat introduction, this was used to cut show jingles on RNI in 1971. Examples were "This is the .... show", "Charge .... Radio Northsea". Despite a string of hits Johnny Nash failed to make any impact with this track.

FAMILY AFFAIR - MFSB Used by Bert Bennett for Joepie pop magazine promo on Radio Mi Amigo. (release details required)

FAREWELL IN THE RAIN - The Shoes Polydor BM53769 (1968) Radio Veronica used the instrumental part for backing to a Veronica magazine commercial in 1972.  At the end of the commercial -(when mentioning the address where people could subscribe, the words Send me a postcard Darling, the title of the Shocking Blue track were used.

FAR WEST - Andre Brasseur Palette EPPB 7262 (NL.1965) A.J. Beirens on Atlantis used this track as backing for promo Here is Debbie England playing music just for you. The track is on CD Andre Brasseur Best of 60 - 70 Silver Star AMC55.174 (BE.2001)

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - Europe CBS A7127 (1986) Used as a promo during the final days of the Voice of Peace.

FINCHLEY CENTRAL - Worcester band The New Vaudeville Band song was re-worked for Radio London teeshirt adverts. It was used again in 1974 on Radio Atlantis as part of the jingle "Radio Atlantis, I love your music". (release details required)

FINGERTIPS - Stevie Wonder Tamla Motown 54080 (1963) Kenny Everett used part of this track to produce a promo for "Big L Saturday in the Starlight Ballroom in Greenford".

FIRST SERVING - Dave "Baby" Cortez was used as a filler in the Bob Stewart show on Caroline North. (release details and audio required)

FLIP FLAP - Peter Henn Omega OM36091 (B.1973) was used on the Flemish service of Atlantis as a filler.

FLORAL DANCE - Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band Transatlantic BIG548 (1977) Used by A.J. Beirens for a Caroline 319 comeback song.

FLORIDA - Bolland and Bolland  Negram NG306 (NL.1972) Used in the production of the jingle "For all the nation, on 192, it's Radio Veronica"

FOOT TAPPER - The Shadows Columbia 4984 (1963) Used by Kenny Everett on Radio London for a Saloon Car Racing promo' in 1967.

FOR THE GIRL WHO COULDN'T FIND LOVE - General Lafayette Plaza 102 (UK.1985) A Caroline "plug" record that was used as an up to the news filler.

FREDDIES DEAD - MFSB Used by Will Luikinga when he made the name jingles for Dennis King. He used them in the Veronica Club in Scheveningen as well in a few of his shows on Caroline in 1973. (release details required)

GARDEN PARTY - Rick Nelson MCA MU1165 (1972) Was used in a promo spot for the LP "Veronica MCA Superstars", along with other contemporary MCA artists Gypsies tramps and thieves - Cher MU1142 (1971) ; Song Song Blue - Neil Diamond UNI 538 (1972); Jesus Christ Superstar -  Murray Head MCA MMKS5077 (1972) and Walking in the rain with the one I love - Love Unlimited UNI UN539 (1972).

GOLD - David McWilliams Track on LP of the same name Mother Earth The title song of the movie Gold produced by Ronan O'Rahilly and heavily promoted on Radio Caroline in the early 70's. (release details required)

GOLDFINGER - Shirley Bassey Columbia DB7360 (1964) The James Bond film theme was used for a Dave Lee Travis promo on Caroline South

GOLDFINGER - John Barry Orchestra United Artists UP1068 (1965) Used on Veronica for a Gold Dollar cigarette commercial.

GOODBYE MY LOVE - The Searchers Pye 7N15794 (1965) Bart van Leeuwen used a clip of this track on his last show for Radio Mi Amigo in 1977.

GOOD MORNING - The Beatles Track on Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band Used by Leo de Later for Alternatieve Boord Top Tien on Radio Veronica in 1974.

GOOD OLD TIMES - Bolland and Bolland Track on LP Florida. Used for Veronica jingle "ten behoeve van het boordteam" (release details required)

GOUDHAANTJE - Goudhaantje TF015 (NL.1986) To avoid problems with the authorities, just after the Dutch MOA, Radio Mi Amigo tried various ploys, one was to read word for word adverts from magazines, informing the listeners that it was read "from XXX magazine" to give the impression it was a public service announcement. When this idea failed, they made another attempt, by recording commercials onto disc which were then available in the shops, by coincidence the same discs were also played on air. This one for pre-cooked roast chicken was later used by Radio Monique.

GO WHERE YOU WANNA GO - 5th Dimension Liberty LIB12051 (UK.1967) Also recorded by the Mamas and Papas  Stateside 8058 (UK.1970). Part of this track was used by Hans ten Hooge to make the "You're with the Summer sound, RNI" jingle.

GRAZING IN THE GRASS - Hugh Masekela UNI UN504 (1968) Used on Veronica for a guest deejay slot in 1970

GREEN ONIONS - Booker T & the MG's London HLK 9595 (UK.1962) Used as a filler track on RNI

GROW YOUR OWN - Small Faces The B side of ShaLa LaLa Lee Decca F11327 This instrumental track was used  on Radio England for promo's for their Tour of Swinging '66.

GRUNCHY GRANOLA SUITE - Percy Faith Orchestra  a) CBS 2548 (NL.1974) b) CBS SSP 12032 (NL.1975). Written and originally sung by Neil Diamond as "Crunchy Granola Suite" UNI UN536 (UK.Nov.1971), the Percy Faith instrumental version was issued as "Grunchy" not "Crunchy".  This popular theme was used by RNI for the jingle "Omdat wij dat willen, twee uur live van zee, Buitengaats hoort bij het water". Tony Allan also used the track for a promo for the International Top 40 on the Voice of Peace. The track appears on several offshore theme albums, including the LP's Veronica Veronica 1975/CBS Special products (NL.1975), and The Day the music died - 3 jaar Veronica CBS 53089 (NL.1977) as well as CD We Love the Pirate Stations BR Music 434-2 (NL.1998).

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY CHRISTMAS - Anita Kerr Singers Track on LP Christmas with the Anita Kerr Singers. Dot? Used by Veronica for a Christmas jingle. The track The Bell that couldn't jingle was also used for same purpose.

HEARTACHES - Ted Weens Orchestra (1947) Used in early days of Caroline as well as Veronica's Kolder op Zolder show.

THE HEART OF A WOMAN - Casey and the Pressure Group Philips 6075 119 (NL.1971) This track was used by Stevi Merrike on RNI and over it he'd relate listeners letters in a melancoly way. Also used as a commercial backing, on RNI in 1973, for "AS Verlovingsringen" (Engagement rings), and at the same time Veronica used it to back their" Berdi Bruiloftskleding" (wedding dresses) adverts.

HEARTSONG - Gordon Giltrap The Electric Record Company WOT 19 (1977), also track on LP Perilous Journey Trix 4. (Electric Record Co?). Used for various offshore promo's, the tune is also well known as the theme of BBC TV "Holiday" programme.

HEATHER - The Carpenters Track on LP Now and Then A & M AMLH 63519 (UK.1973). An instrumental track used by Radio Veronica for promo's, as well as Paul de Wit (Erik de Zwart) on Caroline in his last English language show.

HEATHER - Johnny Pearson Orchestra Track on LP Veronica Veronica/CBS Special Products VOO 1975 (NL.1975) and double CD The Veronica Story BR Music VS3108-2. Used by Radio Veronica for various promotions and also as the theme for the last day at sea.

HEATWAVE - Martha & the Vandellas Stateside SS228 (1963) Graham Webb on Caroline, voiced a promo for the Mick Luvzit show over this track.
