CHRIS SANDFORD

NOT TOO LITTLE, NOT TOO MUCH / I'M LOOKIN' Decca F 11778 (1963). A Joe Meek style production sounding like "Mike Berry sings Buddy Holly", the flip side features some good guitar work. Chris released this record that reached number 17 in the charts in December 1963, due to his appearances in Coronation Street as Walter Potts, the singing window cleaner who lodged at Elsie Tanners house. He joined Caroline in her very early days, mostly presenting on-shore Radio Caroline "disc nights", he later returned to acting and appeared as a deejay in the "Not so Jolly Roger" episode of the Sixties TV series Danger Man. More recently, Chris, with a lot less hair has been seen in the "Minder" series playing a used car salesman.
