After leaving Radio 390 in February 1967, Ted
Allbeury formed Carstead Advertising, with John Withers and his brother -
Tony Windsor as programme director. Tony Windsor had recently left Radio
Carstead Advertising opened offices in Berthalostraat, Amsterdam, on 1st
March. Radio 227 began broadcasting around two weeks later.
In mid July, several Dutch newspapers stated that Radio 227 was to close
down during August, once the British Marine Offences Act became law.
