At a Press conference held by William Vick, on 13th
October, he stated that in the future Dutch language programmes would be
broadcast from the ship. It was not mentioned which frequency they would
use. The first announcements called the new station Swinging Radio Holland.
On the 1st November, it was announced that Radio England was to close down
on the 4th of November, and be replaced by the Dutch station, Radio
Peir - Vick Ltd were declared bankrupt on 14th March 1967. The offices at
32 Curzon Street were vacated and new offices were opened at 17 Berkley
Street, London, W1.
