OCEAAN  VII

Oceaan VII
Attempts were made to get at least one ship to sea to resume broadcasting, but this failed. Shortly after an agreement was reached with the owners of the former Radio 270 ship Oceaan VII to be used as a temporary replacement anchored off Frinton on Sea. It was hoped that broadcasts would start on 14th April, Easter Sunday. Unfortunately a newspaper leaked the story, and the owners of the Oceaan VII were warned that if broadcasts commenced from the ship, they would be summoned.

To many this seemed like the end of Radio Caroline, but in reality it was just the end of the first chapter.
